Cost Effective Off-Site Data Streaming

Protecting critical business data has always been a significant business challenge and a one that up until now has been both costly and difficult to achieve. Best business practice recognises that off-site data replication provides the organisation with the best model for protecting critical business data.

The Nexent Off-Site Data Streaming service provides organisations with a best practice data protection model, but at a fraction of the normal costs associated with dedicated electronic off-site data archiving services.

How the Service Works

Subject to you having your primary Internet Connectivity delivered through Nexent, you can use your Internet bandwidth as normal during the day. But, on an evening (time restrictions apply) we will allow you to re-route your Internet bandwidth to our Data Centre and allow you to copy your business data across the Nexent network to our Data Centre free of any network bandwidth charges.

You can rent chargeable Data Centre Rack space in 20u of 42u racks sizes and you may place your own backup equipment within the designated rack space as your needs dictate. You are responsible for the supply and maintenance of your backup equipment and any backup procedures implemented for the copying of your data.

Data Streaming Service Summary

• You must have your primary Internet circuit and bandwidth with us.
  
  
• You may use your full Internet connection & bandwidth service as normal during the day.
  
  
• You must rent the required Data Centre rack space from us in 20u of 42u size rack space options.
  
  
• We will provide you with a dual 1Gb network access port, delivered across a VPN tunnel for onward connection into your Data Centre rack environment.
  
  
• You may copy your business data across the Nexent MAN with no network bandwidth charges between the hours of 8pm to 6am each night.
  
  
• This Data Streaming Service is only available to you when you have a valid and fully paid Internet Connection Service with us.
  
  
• The Data Streaming Service is subject to Contract and additional Terms & Conditions apply. Copies of which are available upon request.
