The Nexent Fibre Network

The Nexent core network delivers a fault resilient; data triangulated fibre optic network that provides light speed connectivity to our Data Centre facilities. Dual independent MPLS data interconnects provide UK wide communications connectivity for Cloud service delivery. All popular communication mediums including Ethernet, Leased line, ADSL, SDSL, ISDN & IP-VPN can be accommodated.

Internet services are provided using triple peer BGP-4 Internet connectivity which delivers exceptional levels of performance and Internet service availability. Value Added Internet services are provided using our Nominet & RIPE approved ISP facilities.

Data Centre Facilities

Nexent’s Data Centre facilities have been designed from the ground up to deliver a highly secure, scalable and reliable technology environment that can support continuous I.T. business operations. Built to Tier Three standards, Nexent’s Data Centre facilities include an on-site 1.3Mw power substation, extensive power protection systems including site wide UPS systems with power back-up generators. The facility also benefits from advanced data hall cooling systems and Very Early Warning Smoke Detectors with Fire Suppression Systems to provide extensive protection.

The Nexent Infrastructure is delivered using enterprise class Hewlett Packard Blade Server architecture, Emc SAN storage assets, Cisco network infrastructure and VMware virtualisation technologies that deliver a truly exceptional technology experience.
